When it comes to trip planning, there are so many logistical boxes to check off. Between packing the right gear to purchasing plane tickets, booking hotels and renewing your passport, having a little help from your smartphone can save you major stress and planning time. Let’s be serious, no one wants to overload their phone with useless apps that monopolize precious gigabyte space.
Choosing which travel apps to download is just as important as packing the right clothes, or picking the right travel companion. To save you some time, I’ve put together a list of essential travel apps to download before departing on your journey. Safe Travels!
Air Fare / Booking:
While there are dozens of airline fare trackers online, Hopper can reliably predict when the tickets for the flights you want will be at their cheapest. This app is easy-to-use and, if the dates of your planned trip are flexible, Hopper’s search functionality cannot be beat. The app has one of the best interfaces and alert systems among flight-tracking tools.
Itineraries:
If you’re not the most organized person, or tend to be a nervous traveler, Google Trips arranges your itineraries and automatically aggregates all of your essential travel information in one place. The best part? Whether you’re in a city or in a remote area far away from the reaches of civilization (and the nearest wifi signal), Google Trips lets you access all the important stuff–like reservations and confirmation numbers–whether you’re online or offline.
Activities + Things To Do:
HeadOut helps you find cool cultural events at the last minute and is also great for scoring discounts on day-of events. You can find all sorts of tours and activities, as well as tickets for museums, tours, and other attractions. Plus, booking is easy and at your fingertips.
